Filtering data allows you to narrow the scope of the data you are working with which allows you to focus on only the information you need. Use the Open and Close parenthesis fields to set up parenthesis for use in some types of filters by combining them with AND or OR. You can also use regular expressions to create filtering criteria for text fields. The list of criteria shown varies depending on the type of data in the field.

Kyvos supports the following types of filters:

  • Numeric Criteria - list includes: equal to, less than, greater than or equal to, greater than, less than or equal to, between, not equal to, equal to null, not equal to null, is in top, is in bottom, is after, is before, greater than or equal, less than or equal, is in between
  • Text Criteria - list includes: is, is (match case), is not, is blank, is not blank, starts with, starts with (match case), does not starts with, ends with, ends with (match case), does not ends with, contains, does not contain, in list, not in list, regular expression
  • Date Criteria - list includes: between, after, before, is, at most, at least, is not, is blank, is not blank, is in last, in this, is in next, to date
  • TopN and BottomN --list includes only the top or bottom N number of values

You can filter the data based on value or field. Comparing based on field enables comparing two fields of the same data type with each other.

Some areas of Kyvos use quick filters where you click field, criteria, and value elements in a panel to quickly create a filter.
