You can specify whether to display a legend or info box for a chart.

Legend

A legend contains a list of the variables appearing in the chart and an example of their appearance. This information allows the data from each variable to be identified in the chart. The colors shown are set using the Color feature and the color values are automatically assigned.

By default, the legend and the Info box display to the right to the chart but you can move them. Select one and drag it to a new location. Click the ( ⋮ menu and select Hide to hide it or Collapse to collapse it. Click the menu again and click Expand to restore it.

To display the legend

  1. From the Toolbox, choose Workbooks, then select a workbook and worksheet.
  2. Choose Workspace Settings and click the Legend checkbox in the Design column.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Drag the legend to a different location if desired.

Info box

The Info box displays information about the chart.

To display the Info box

  1. From the Toolbox, choose Workbooks, then select a workbook and worksheet.
  2. Right-click anywhere in the chart and choose Show Info.
  3. Drag the Info box to a different location if desired.
